There was a big Drama played by Tamil Nadu CM Mr. Karunanithi and Indian Finance cum Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram.
Tamil Nadu CM sat (sorry.... laid) for a "indefinite" fasting asking for the ceasefire in Srilanka from morning 5:55 AM to 12:25 PM.
The sudden declaration of fasting by the CM created a vibration over Tamil Nadu as well to the Indian Govt. There were so many phone calls to him from Prime Minister of India, Ms. Sonia Gandhi, and well wishers etc.... So many people including DMK men, Cine field, Religious personalities, officials gathered to the place. And also so many started fasting then and there all over Tamil nadu. What a caos?
In no time all the sofistication for a comfortable continuation fasting were arranged...! With Air cooler, Bed, Doctors.... For every 45min his BP, Pulse were checked.

Telegrams were flying every where... Calls to all... People started thinking the real leader of Tamils....!!!???!!!!
Around 12:20PM th Home minister Mr. P. Chidambaram called the CM and said the Sri Lankan govt. decided to halt the Combat Operations.
Then the Drama ended... with a statement “I stand to protect suffering Tamils everywhere. What is the need for a life that cannot help them in their hour of need” --- given by Mr.Karunanidhi

There was a cruel Carnage by Sri Lankan Armyfor about 15 hours of shelling starting from 6:00PM of Monday 27th April 2009, Killing more than 200 innocents and 1370+ injured. At least 2,600 Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) rockets, more than 1,000 artillery shells and at least 2,000 heavy mortar shells were used for this carnage.
Tamil Nadu CM's Life is so important at his age of 85. It needs to be saved in some way, even by the lie of Mr. P. Chidamabram the Home Minister of India.
Are the Eelam people's lives not to be bothered by anyone???
